Tornadoes, Cello, and Prom...Oh My!

This week, after being so close to Joplin MO and other towns who were hit by tornadoes, I am counting blessings. I am humbled by how quickly lives can be changed. It's amazing the outpouring of support that has come from Northwest Arkansas to the people in Joplin. It has also been good to see 500+ members of our church volunteer this weekend to work on the clean up. I love living here among so many self sacrificing people.

A few of the ongoings in our home over the last few weeks: We enjoyed watching Meagan play her cello on the lawn of Old High Middle School. Enoch went to the Emergency Room at the Hospital to get stitches in his leg after slicing it on some glass in the grass. Emily had a successful lemonade stand to earn money to purchase a pet. Everyone had finals and we are all excited for school to be out. Brittany and Sarah were asked to go to a Home-school Prom and they had a wonderful time. Several nights were spent watching the weather because of all the tornado sirens. Sarah tried out and made it into the color guard for band again for this next year. And we participated in a ward service day at a local youth homeless center.

Most of all we loved being together and pray that the survivors from this awful weather will be blessed.
