Mother's Day and 500 Butterflies!

Today is Mother's Day and my wonderful family made a delicious breakfast, gave me flowers, love notes and my favorite hazelnut chocolate candy! :) Happy Mother's Day to Grandma, Nana, and Great Nannaw!

Brittany and Sarah had their Spring band performance on Tuesday and they did a MARVELOUS job! Brittany plays the French horn in the high school Symphonic Band. Sarah plays the clarinet in the high school Wind Ensemble. This was the last performance for their band directors because they are retiring. Apparently Sarah's band is the talk of the state of Arkansas because of their excellent performance during concert contest! Videos of the Spring concert will be forthcoming.

Christine Homer taught me how to cut Snickers hair and both ears are starting to stand up instead of just one.

Saturday Emily sang the National Anthem at the Naturals (local minor league baseball team) game with her middle school choir and they sounded beautiful! There were 500 Monarch butterflies released at the game for mental health awareness.We had a lot of fun cheering for our home team, but unfortunately they lost. Video posted on facebook.

Jared had his first class this week for his masters degree in Information Assurance with Capital College and we  are all excited for him to have been accepted into this program.

Nathanael can stand without holding onto anything...walking is around the corner!

We almost have our garden completely planted! This year we gave each child their own plot in the garden to plant and care for what they want. They seem to enjoy taking charge of their own plants, we will see how well this works out.
