I am excited to share the fun week we had with all of you!
We throughly enjoyed a surprise visit from Aunt Jenny and Uncle Kendell from Texas. While they were here we had a tornado come within 10 miles of our home and things were a little tense. Thankfully we did not have any damage like many areas did that night. Apparently this is a record breaking month for tornadoes in the United States.
Easter festivities were held at 5:45 AM this year so that Jared could watch before he had to go to work. Many of the candy filled eggs were hidden in the house due to bad weather. There were about 3 dozen boiled eggs hidden outside in the swampy yard though. So the kids went looking for eggs just as the sun came up behind the threatening clouds and came back wet and laughing. Then it started to rain and I don't think it has stopped since. Last I heard we have had over 10 inches of rain since Friday and 4 more coming this Monday afternoon! At least I have a good excuse not to go water or weed the garden.
We are all grateful for the time we had to spend as a family reflecting on the atonement, death, and resurrection of Christ this last weekend. We have truly been given a great gift from our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, I pray we may all cherish it daily.
